It has been a while since I’ve been able to add to this blog. Primarily due to a 9-month long camper warranty repair ordeal. To fully document the horror story of an unscrupulous RV dealer, and a manufacturer who is either totally inept or just downright dishonest would consume this entire site.
However, the end result is a newer better travel trailer. For its maiden voyage, we select a 4-hour voyage to Pigeon Forge Tennessee.
2018 was an epic year. Through 22 states and over 20,000 miles, I’ve seen more of this great country than I ever imagined. Sorting through the pictures and videos for this movie proved to be a very emotional experience. I am repeatedly reminded just how much I love this great country.
It is all too easy for someone as impatient and restless as I to overlook some of the best things our country has to offer that are right under my nose. I have seen photos of Lake Powell with the houseboats floating on the insanely blue water with the sheer red cliffs behind them. In such, recreating that scene has long been on my bucket list. After a little research beforehand, the cost of the boat and the logistics of such is going to be a pretty big endeavor for a solo team of man and dog. Trying to find a “Peach” connection in December is a bit of a challenge. I check out Peachtree City in search of a Georgia Peach or just something peachy but am quickly diverted from my peach hunt once I learn of Barbie Beach.
I am not far outside of Atlanta and nowhere near the ocean. The Beach is just outside of Peachtree City in Turin, GA. The Beach is a popular attraction for locals and has even been the subject of a Cannes film festival documentary. Barbie Beach intrigues me and is something I’ve got to see.
